Wild Wild Jungle

A mere five years ago we were still laughing hard at those who wore animal prints and called them old-fashioned. Today all fashionistas at least have one wild piece to “prove” that they are up to the latest trend.

Apart from our favorite fashion chains like H&M, Zara and the likes, we KA.NA stylists also hunt for our "treasures" in vintage stores. 70's loose-fit leopard pants match perfectly with a denim jacket; while 80's zebra maxi dress looks just good with your bright color tee and platform sandals.

Leopard, zebra, snake and alligator seem to be the top picks, but if you are not ready for high-profile prints, you can still join the jungle-jingle by wearing a t-shirt with a tiger or eagle figure, together with your favorite jeans. Safari here we come!

P.S. don't forget to check out your mom's closet, there might be precious finds!

Color Blocks

So you've heard that vivid color blocks made the SS11 trend already? (and you must have seen the effect from big names like Gucci, Prada or Zara!) We at KA.NA love that too (of course!)! But is it bothering you that you've no clue on how to start the mix-and-match? Below tips might be helpful:
1. Pick colors with BIG contrast, and we mean REALLY BIG contrast. Yellow, red and green can do the tricks, but red, orange and brown are not impressive enough.
2. If you're not confident or do not want to go THAT far, then put on only two colors in maximum. The more colors you've to match, the harder it is to look good. Try orange and blue, or red and yellow.
3. If you're finding it not exciting enough, try add in neon colors. We reckon green sweater, yellow sweat pants plus shocking pink sneakers look just fabulous!
