"Eyes"cream For Hot Summer (2012 Resort Collections)

With weather getting so irritatingly hot in the north hemisphere, there's nothing better to do than looking at the release of 2012 resort collection of major brands with an ice-cold Coke on hand...Preen and Givenchy caught our eyes with these:

1. Givenchy
Love the "kaleidoscope"-prints in the collection and Riccardo is truly fair in applying them - skirts, dresses, blouses, tops, caps and shoes...none of the family has been left out! Also look at the combination of military green or deep purple with prints, never look so chic before!

2. Preen
It is the special cuttings of the collection get us. Asymmetric skirt, shirt-dress and two-tone tapered pants all look adorable. Leopard prints + pastel blue = Cool (-5 degrees instantly!); Yellow floral print = Smart and energetic; Black + leopard pants = Absolutely chic!

Wild Wild Jungle

A mere five years ago we were still laughing hard at those who wore animal prints and called them old-fashioned. Today all fashionistas at least have one wild piece to “prove” that they are up to the latest trend.

Apart from our favorite fashion chains like H&M, Zara and the likes, we KA.NA stylists also hunt for our "treasures" in vintage stores. 70's loose-fit leopard pants match perfectly with a denim jacket; while 80's zebra maxi dress looks just good with your bright color tee and platform sandals.

Leopard, zebra, snake and alligator seem to be the top picks, but if you are not ready for high-profile prints, you can still join the jungle-jingle by wearing a t-shirt with a tiger or eagle figure, together with your favorite jeans. Safari here we come!

P.S. don't forget to check out your mom's closet, there might be precious finds!
