Everyone Needs An Oversized Thick Knit This Winter!

Actually not just THIS winter, but last winter too and very probably next winter as well! Ever since we launched our collection of them in our online store weeks ago, many of my friends/ FB page fans/ customers wrote in and asked for styling tips. Hope the following helps:

Most asked question #1 I look like having gained 30 pounds when I wear oversized knits, does it mean I can't carry this style?
Answer Myth. Unless you're skinny like Kate Moss or Freja Beha, it is NORMAL to look bulkier than wearing right-sized clothes! The key is how to balance the total look to show your true size. Always pair with a tight-fitted bottom item, like skinny jeans/ shorts/ mini skirt with leggings etc. In my opinion it is in fact a good cover up for imperfection in body figure, for example hiding a big and ugly butt!

Most asked question #2 Thick knits are grandma items, they look all old and boring.
Answer Not necessarily. Creativity is the key. Try matching them with clothes/ accessories in contrasting colors, patterns, fabrics etc. Take reference from style icon Susie Bubble, she's a master!

Most asked question #3 Oversized knits are for casual wearing only, not for work.
Answer Not quite so. Depends on the knit pattern and the color of your cardigan. The key is, make sure you choose a high-waist work pants and put on a pair of high heels so that you won't look short and stout.

Like any other classic item, oversized knits never seem to get outdated. There might be times tight-fitted apparels storm the fashion world, yet there are still days in those times when practicality and ease of matching stand in. You always need a thick coat to keep you warm in cold days, don't you?
