Midi vs Maxi (Part 2) - with styling tips

Last week we talked about how to pick and wear midi skirts, have you tried? This week, we'll have a look at maxi skirts/dresses, which I personally think is more difficult to carry...

When it comes to maxi, the first thing that comes to mind is the glam it brings that midi could not replace. If your body height is over 160cm and that you have a nice buttock, it is your show time. Definitely you have to try straight-line maxis, because not everyone can show off like you can! The only draw-back is that you have to walk in relatively smaller steps because of the narrow tail, but it is not a bad thing afterall as it also shows your elegance and feminity! Agree?

Don't be disappointed if you don't have a perfect butt, because you can still wear maxis, just with a little help. A seamless push-up underpants could do the tricks. Believe me, I tried!

And if your reason to wear a maxi is to cover up your imperfect lower body, consider flare maxis. You can either try plain-color skirts for a casual lady look, or you can put on a Bohemian or hippy look by choosing maxis which have more details in cutting (e.g. with pleats) or on the fabric (e.g. with prints).

If you don't bother to do the "matching" routine, one-piece maxi dress is the option. But in order not to be mistaken as being pregnant, I recommend to wear it with a belt. Not only does it give you back your waist-line, it can also make your legs look longer.

So you've listened to my views now, have you decided for yourself? Midi? Maxi? Or both? :)
